Ethan Weisgard Sensei in the USA

Aikido in Fredericksburg invites you to join us for a weekend of Traditional Aikido with Ethan Weisgard Sensei, 6th dan, from the Copenhagen Aiki Shuren Dojo in Denmark.

Ethan Sensei was the chief instructor for the Copenhagen Aikido Club in Denmark for 27 years, before starting his own dojo in 2003.  He began his Aikido training under Tomita Sensei in 1976.  He first went to Iwama, Japan, as uchi-deshi (direct live-in student) with Saito Morihiro Shihan in 1984, and subequently ten times since then.   He has taught Aikido in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Canada, America, Russia, and even in the homeland of Aikido: Japan.

He strives to pass on the teachings he received from Saito Shihan and looks forward to practicing and enjoying the wonderful martial art called Aikido with as many people as possible.

He is the author of the book Bukiwaza – Basic and Advanced Aiki Ken and Aiki Jo.

Uchideshi stays (before or after the seminar) may be available for out of towners.
