2000-Saito Sensei is 72 years old. The new millennium arrives in a subdued Y2K fashion. However, Saito Sensei holds a party celebrating his 6th year of continued good health since his esophagal cancer operation. He continues to travel to seminars which by now have 3rd and 4th-generation Iwama aikidoka.

2000. Saito Sensei in Rohnert Park, Northern California. He first came to America and California in 1974, alternating with the San Francisco Bay Area and San Diego. He was as commanding and gracious as always. This turned out to be the final visit.
